What Does Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy with Microneedling Do?
As micro-needling creates a series of hundreds of microscopic channels into the dermis, PRP represents a way to enhance the healing of your skin cells. These two therapies work in synergy to create a treatment that delivers accelerated results capable of bringing better results than each part separately.
PRP is harvested from the patient's own blood and restored into the skin tissue during the micro-needling procedure. The idea is to stimulate the healing process right where it’s needed most.
There is little risk of rejection or allergic reaction, because PRP is made from the patient’s own blood.
Results may be seen immediately following treatment with more results showing over the next four to six weeks. The most significant of these results will occur over the next six months as your body utilizes the PRP to heal naturally.
The end result is a more rapid healing time and better collagen growth, creating a richer, smoother, glowing look to your skin.
SkinPen II is also effective for Stretch Mark Reduction
Studies show layered microneedling SkinPen II to be the most effective treatment for stretch mark reduction outside of laser treatments. Four to six treatments, 2-4 weeks apart, is the best way to improve the appearance of stretch marks. Individual results will vary by severity, location, age, skin type, lifestyle and nutrition.
